About (The)Swerved.One:

A Brief History:
Throughout my life, I’ve always had an appreciation for Music, Art, and anything Tech-related in general. I play both Cello and Piano, though it’s been quite some time since I’ve laid my hands on the former. In my young adult years, I toured the country in the 90’s as a keyboardist with a band by the name of Vertical Swerve; this is how the moniker came about. Despite the perils of living on the road for a decade, those are some of my fondest years.
After years of touring, I gave up the band lifestyle and began my career as a project design manager for a company that applied specialty metal coatings for various applications. I really enjoyed my time working there because it allowed me to grow and and nurture my creative side, even if it WAS for work
In 2015, I was diagnosed with a couple of autoimmune diseases I had never heard of, by the names of Dermatomyositis, and Diffuse Scleroderma (or Systemic Sclerosis). These conditions caused my body’s immune system to turn and attack healthy, normal, cells and tissue. In my case my skin and lungs were the victims.
In 2017 I was told I would need a double lung transplant to continue living. At first, I wasn’t going to go through with it because I knew two people that had that surgery and neither made it through recovery long-term. I didn’t want to put my family through that.
However, at the time I had recently become a grandfather, and had another grandchild on the way. I decided that I absolutely had to go through with the transplant so I could spend time with them, help raise them, and watch them grow. When I got my new lungs, my granddaughter was 2, and my grandson was just 4 days old. I didn’t see him or his sister for another 3 months. I owe all of the borrowed time I have now with my grandkids, to my donor and his family. If not for them and their most generous act, I’d be long gone.
January 12th, 2025 made 7 years since a second chance at life was bestowed upon me. I don’t work anymore (not by choice), so now I spend my days at the computer and on my piano/keyboard. The luxury of free time has rekindled my desire to create music and digital art. Things are so much different now than they were, so I am on a bit of a learning curve in regard to how things are done online these days. I wish I would have had the tools and platforms we have now to share content with the world. I guess it’s truly never too late.
Anyway, I can’t thank you enough for stopping by and having a look. I will be adding more content to OpenSea, Rarible, and updates on X and Instagram as time goes by. I will be showcasing my collections here, as well as some musical creations/NFT’s… If you see/hear something you like, then by all means make an offer if it’s not listed already. Also if you would just like to donate to the cause, there is information on that in the “Contact Us” section.
Please, enjoy your visit and come back often!
